Delhi Govt Announces Paid Leaves For Employees Ahead Of G20 Summit

The Delhi government said on Tuesday that all stores in the national capital will be closed from 8th September to 10th September due to the G20 Summit, which will be hosted in Delhi. The notice further stated that all employees in Delhi will be given 'paid holidays' on certain days.

“All employers of Shops, Commercial and Business Establishments functioning in New Delhi, District of NCT of Delhi shall close their Shops, Commercial and Business Establishments from 08/09/2023 to 10/09/2023 and grant paid holiday to their employees/workers." the notice read.

The G20 Leaders' Summit will bring together 29 heads of state, top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries, and 14 heads of international organisations.

To protect the safety of heads of state and their delegations during their visit to Delhi, elaborate security procedures are being put in place.
