Bizongo Upgrades Health Policy To Cover Adoption, IVF & Egg Freezing

Bizongo, a B2B Platform offering embedded supply chain financing and integrated raw material buying solutions, has upgraded its Parenthood Journey Policy to cover adoption, IVF (In vitro fertilization), and egg freezing leaves, in addition to maternity and paternity leaves. In addition to the leaves, the organisation has also set aside a specific corpus to financially support new parents who choose any of these procedures.

Traditionally, companies have always offered insurance-based coverage for family planning. In a first, Bizongo has taken a company-led approach to empower its employees, who are taking a step in this direction with flexibility as well as financial support. As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at the workplace, the company is going above and beyond standard policies by offering coverage to all individuals, irrespective of their marital status, gender identity, or family structure. The company aims to help its employees effortlessly manage their professional and parenting responsibilities simultaneously through this policy.

The company acknowledges that individuals undergoing these procedures necessitate a period of recuperation and rest. Additionally, they recognise that support is warranted for both primary and secondary carers. Considering this, additional caregiving leaves are granted to employees whose partners are undergoing the procedures.

"At Bizongo, we believe in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone feels empowered to pursue their personal aspirations alongside their professional goals," said Sachin Agrawal, CEO & Co-founder of Bizongo. "The parenthood journey policy aims to educate and empower employees, normalizing these procedures and bringing a fresh perspective that aligns with societal progress. We, as a company, want to respect individual choices and promote a positive shift in mindsets regarding these progressive procedures."

Bizongo recently hosted Aditya Tiwari, the youngest man in India to adopt a child with special needs, to share his experiences and insights on the challenges and processes involved in child adoption. Additionally, the company has also been inviting gynaecologists to address queries that employees have about egg freezing procedures.

This initiative demonstrates Bizongo's efforts in creating a supportive and inclusive workplace for its employees and a culture that values individual choices and well-being.
