61% Indians Link Emotional Security & Mental Well-Being To Overall Happiness: Report

As per Godrej’s Security Solutions survey, 60% of respondents believe job satisfaction is crucial to overall happiness

As the world unites to observe World Mental Health Day, the Security Solutions business of Godrej & Boyce, part of Godrej Enterprises Group, underscores the importance of emotional security in fostering mental well-being. Findings from their ‘Happiness Survey’ reveals that 61 per cent of Indians believe that emotional security significantly influences their mental health, while 60 per cent rate job satisfaction as a key element contributing to their overall happiness. As the mental wellness importance gains prominence, Godrej’s Security Solutions business is taking the lead by offering innovative products designed not just to protect physical assets, but also to foster emotional well-being in both homes and workplaces.

Interestingly, our Happiness Index survey revealed that 58% of respondents also associated freedom and personal autonomy with their overall happiness. Godrej’s Security Solutions has developed a suite of offerings that cater to both the physical and emotional security needs of its customers. The "Happiness Survey" engaged 2,400 respondents, including individuals between the ages of 18 and 45+, with a 45 per cent male and 43 per cent female demographic split. The survey was conducted in 12 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Chennai, spanning North, South, East, West, and Central India, providing a comprehensive view of consumer perspectives on security and happiness across the country.
