Zomato's COO Gaurav Gupta Steps Down; To Focus Firm's Nutrition Biz

Gaurav Gupta Zomato's COO announced that he will be stepping down from his current role to focus on launching the organisation's nutrition business.

Gupta joined Zomato in 2015 and contributed to the company's business and advertising portfolio through the years. In Jan 2018 he was elevated to the post of COO. In July 2019 he was given the title of Co-founder of Zomato.

Gupta's role changed at the list of big leadership moves in Zomato this year. According to media reports Zomato was undergoing leadership changes amid company going through a fundraiser of 150 million dollars. Company is also planning to go public in 2021.

As Zomato is gearing up for another year of Big changes how will the leadership direct organisational efforts through the pandemic will be something to keep an eye on.
