"We Are Living In A World Which Is Not Happy:" Ashish Ambasta

Happiness plays a crucial role in the corporate workplace culture; it is determining the productivity and satisfaction of employees. Also, enhances the company’s reputation and improves its ability to retain its employees for longer. So, it is fair to say that happiness at work is essential.

According to Dr. Ashish Abmasta, founder and CEO, HappyPlus, the data of the last many years shows that, the number of people who are engaged excited and want to come to work hasn’t improved.

It is constant at around 12 to 13 per cent people and rest of the 88 per cent people coming to work they don’t want to come or they are dragging themselves.

He said while addressing to BW People and HappyPlus Happiest Workplaces Award 2022 in association with BW Businessworld, “Majority of your time you spent at the workplace and if you are not happy then it is a life which is wasted.” He added, “Survey after Survey shows we are living in a world which is not happy”

Ambasta presented these four points as a solution to unhappiness,

1: We need to understand that everyone that walks into your company needs to find a place where they can express themselves and they can enjoy what they are doing.

2: Employer and employee both need to work together.

3: Individual accountability is important as organizational accountability. 

4: Happiness and positivity can be cultivated if we build positive habits.
