viaDots, a Bengaluru-based app-based digital metre taxi, plans to hire 50,000 cab drivers by the first quarter of 2024. Within the first two months of operation, the company claims to have onboarded 5,000 drivers.
The platform seeks to transform ride-hailing services by empowering the driver community with its own Digital Metre Taxi model, which ensures fair prices determined by cab drivers.
The elimination of all hidden charges, assuring optimum safety for both the driver and the passenger, no onboarding platform fee for drivers, and an intuitive user interface to ensure flawless operations are what make viaDots unique.
The brand's primary goal is to be a driver-run platform, with a focus on recognising the driver as the owner of their own business.
Vyshak Simha, CEO, viaDots said, “Through our initiative, we aim to territorialise as ‘The Social Champion’ of the mobility landscape, where the drivers would finally be in the driving seat, both literally and figuratively.”
With various innovative features on the horizon, viaDots plans to give tailored and smooth taxi experiences to millions of cab passengers in Bengaluru over the next two years, as well as to encourage millions of drivers.
