Unacademy Promotes Arooshi Singh To Head HR

Unacademy has promoted Arooshi Singh, its Director of People Experience and Culture, to the role of Head of Human Resources. Singh, who has been with the company for over seven years, will now lead the HR department. The announcement was made by CEO and co-founder Gaurav Munjal on Slack, celebrating Singh’s significant contribution since joining the company in 2017 as an expert in employee engagement and wellness.

This promotion is the third major leadership change at Unacademy in 2024. In January, Jagnoor Singh was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Unacademy Centres, though he left in July. More recently, in September, Abhishek Pipara was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for Unacademy's offline centres, replacing Pratik Dalal who joined earlier in the year.

Despite these internal promotions, Unacademy has also faced several leadership departures over the past year, including COO Vivek Sinha in August, Group CFO Subramanian Ramachandran in October, and co-founder and CTO Hemesh Singh in June 2024.
