According to Harshvendra Soin, the factors that create a happy workplace and turn a workplace into a happier space. Starting with the statistics of the existing state of workplaces in the country, Soin defined the significance of the purpose that companies should possess. He said that now companies have to change from brands into purposeful companies and chase to bring great human experience.
Asserting the importance of the metaverse in the modern workplace, Soin said ‘‘Metaverse has redefined how people expect to be treated, It is the combination of traditional practices and modern technology and that is what exciting about it’’. Further, Soin showed some of the modern technology that is incorporated into daily practices by Tech Mahindra in order to enhance employees’ experiences, He said that digital attendance is being taken in most companies today but Tech Mahindra has inculcated technology to register employee’s current emotions while attendance. Similarly, Soin talked more about the AI-integrated technology being used by his company through the first Human Resource Humanoid K2 that addresses employees’ queries. For the recruitment aspect too, Soin informed that Tech Mahindra just introduced the first metaverse-induced recruitment process. UVO is another instance of Tech Mahindra using technology efficiently, UVO is a chatbot that assists employees with their basic activities.
While concluding the session, Soin asserted ‘‘Technology can be a good liver if you use technology for the right reasons, not just for the sake of using it. Use it to bring happiness, use it to impact human experience’’.
