Power of Vision
October 1st, 1971, five years after the Great Walt Disney passed away, Disney World had its grand inauguration. During the ceremony, some of the guests turned to Mrs. Walt Disney and said, “isn’t it a shame that Walt didn’t live to see this?” Mrs. Disney replied, “He did see it, that’s why it’s here”.
Walt Disney World sits on forty-three square miles, nearly twice the size of Manhat-tan, of some of the most valuable properties in the state of Florida. Originally, it took seven years to build. Such an enormous undertaking, I think you will agree, could never come to being without a great mind having a clear vision. Yes, Walt Disney saw that - it was his vision that translated into one of the world’s best creation. Now that’s the power of vision. Walt had seen Disney world in his vision.
This, is VISION. An Art of seeing the invisible. A vision is a key to your life. the most important thing about a vision is that, the more crazy, people tell you it is, the bigger it is. So think frenzy, go wild. The 21st-century DEMANDS vision. Great leaders like, John F Kennedy, APJ Abdul Kalam, Martin Luther King jr., have had visions which they turned into reality.
Needless to say, today, everyone, is looking for a short road to success. Now, with your vision in your mind, you are ALREADY A VISIONARY. But the job, is only half done. Now you will process to become a VISIONARY LEADER when you know what is the charisma and the magnificent process of leaders that makes everyone work unitedly for a higher purpose.
A visionary is one, with an idea. A visionary leader is one with an idea that is be-ing processed to come into being by utilising an opportunity and making the best of it to let him get one step closer to his vision.
Ok, ok let’s break it down and talk simple.
The first element of a visionary leader is to be a good communicator. This is one of the most important skills as visionary Leader has to articulate his ideas and motive team members or masses to achieve the same.
Now, the obviously good sense is often accompanied by a charismatic being. Visionary leader wins every heart and his team performs extraordinarily in normal circum-stances. Visionaries make all heads turn, with their aura.
Thirdly, you need to be the organiser, most importantly the chief organiser and executor, only then, you can be a leader. This characteristic of Visionary leader makes him different from visionary. He is the one who puts actions in a simplified way.
As they say, no opportunity is risk-free, going back to basics, “Risk can be mini-mised, but never eliminated.” So take Risks, they boost your confidence. Throw in some strategic planning and Voila! You have yourself a visionary leader with the Power of vision.
The visionary leader is not effective by outside demotivation or negativities, he is inspired by his own vision and sees opportunity in every adversity to connect the path of achievement / realisation of his vision.
