In matters of compassionate employment, the state as well as the judiciary generally takes a lenient and is guided by a principle of welfare.
However, this was not the case when a woman employee working in Bihar Bhawan was found guilty of submitting a forged document.
The Delhi High Court recently upheld the order of termination of service of a woman employee and said that no sympathy is to be shown in such cases where the government employee has shown fake documents in the employment process even if the hiring was on a compassionate basis.
The government employee in question had allegedly created a nuisance under the influence of alcohol in the Bhavan, subsequent to which, a show cause notice was issued to her in 2009.
During the show cause proceedings against the said women employee, it was found out that she had submitted a forged mark sheet during the process of her recruitment after the demise of her husband.
