A Human Resources professional with experience in the People function across a gamut of roles, Aditya Gurjar, Director, People Team, WeWork India has served in various capacities till now, such as HR business partner, Geo talent lead, HR program design and Project management, B-School Campus Recruitment, Lateral hiring and Learning program lead.
“My biggest stint at WeWork India has been the challenge of building a fair and outcome-based Performance Management process which is focused on improving the performance conversation and making it frequent and strength-based. With this process, we identified future-focused action plans for all employees,” claims Gurjar.
This further led to increased engagement & better talent management across WeWork. Gurjar also worked on creating and launching industry-leading and employee-friendly programs/initiatives that position us as an employer of choice.
Talking about his impacts upon his present organisation, he started by creating a high performing, engaged team within HR to address complex issues and mission-critical projects at WeWork. He is known to have led the adoption of our new HRIS tool as part of their multi-year HR tech strategy. This further led to automation and efficiencies which in turn led to a better employee experience.
Of the many ups and downs which he has faced throughout his learning tenure, pandemic proved to be the biggest learning of all times. Gurjar assets that, “personally, my goal was to continue to empower my team and make them more effective at their jobs and equipping them with the right tools and resources to succeed. Everything from our training programs and wellness sessions to our engagement activities and team bondings was moved onto Zoom. We even organised remote onboarding for new joinees and set up online recognition tools that helped to reinforce our WeWork community values.”
Keeping in mind the stresses of remote working and feelings of isolation, the whole WeWork family supported each other with consistent mental health counselling. All this led to having amazing employee satisfaction scores and this served as great validation for their employees’ relentless efforts.
