The tech industry has been plagued with layoffs. And as a consequence, financial restructuring, budget cuts and missing employee perks have been a norm this year. In a new development around this aspect, Microsoft employees won't be getting a hike in their salary.
As per a report published by Business Insider, an internal email written by CEO Satya Nadela cited this year's economic conditions as the reason for zero increments for 2023.
It is pertinent to mention that another tech giant Google had earlier this year announced that it would be eliminating and cutting down certain non-essential employee benefits. The Elon Musk-owned Twitter also suggested plans to cut down its generous parental leave policy.
