P.K.Khurana, the Founder and Chief Mentor of Wow Happiness revealed the five principles behind happy work culture. According to him connecting connections, family engagements, feedback from employees, their families, and children, exit surveys, and feedback from working employees make up a happy work culture.
Explaining the synergy behind the progress of a company with employee’s growth, he asserted that companies grow only when employees grow; which helps the society as a whole to grow and build a nation. In his terms, the work culture of a company is defined by how an employee of that company works when nobody is monitoring him/her. Emphasising the relation between the top management and employees, Mr Khurana shared an anecdote from his interaction with the marketing head of Vodaphone. He recalled how the executive told him that “although employees join the Vodaphone company but they work for CEO”.
Mr Khurana decoded the ingredients of shaping a magnetic work culture within an organisation. He enlisted Grand ideas, Rituals, Stories, Celebrations, and Evangelisms as key components of magnetic work culture. He recommended that companies must also reward the mistakes of the employee at least once, as success is achieved by making continuous efforts.
