Lalit Bhasin Elects As The New National President Of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC)

Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) has got its new President Lalit Bhasin, the 54th National President of IACC. IACC is the apex bilateral chamber that regulates and supervises the India-US engagement. The chamber was started by Ambassador Chester Bowles along with the then Industry leaders and visionaries like Mr S L Kirloskar, and Mr Harish Mahindra, in 1968. Before being elected as the National President of AICC, Bhasin was serving as the Vice President of AICC.

To accelerate economic activities between the two dynamic nations of India and America, Bhasin always led many remarkable initiatives that generate multi-directional dialogues. Bhasin initiated Indo-US Services Summit and Indo-US Legal Summit to promote track -2, dialogue in these domains, which played a vital role in adding quality to the bilateral economic partnership. 

Bhasin on his new position in IACC said “I am privileged to lead the IACC at a time when the Indo-US partnership is poised to leapfrog in many areas and directions thanks to the direction and support being given by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden: IACC will draw strength from the rare bonding between India and the US to sharpen broad contours of engagements to take it to the next level;”
