Showcasing the upward trend of growth in learning strategy and innovation; Aditya Birla Capital Limited bagged the award of Best Innovation in L & D at the BW HR L&D Excellence Summit and Awards 2021, on 27 February, 2021 .
Furthermore, there has been a dramatic reduction of people who are on 0 learning man-days from 23% to 11% on YOY basis. An ongoing practice for the last 4 years, a week-long event was celebrated in a completely digital avatar this year giving employees an experience of new-age learning. Reinforcing the theme of week i.e. The Big Reset - Learning is the only constant; employees were exposed to new-age learning platforms & methods such as virtual gallery walk with the personalized avatar, learning-focused 3D simulation games to improve ABC Product knowledge, ABC HR Policies, Reiterate Values & Behaviours, Awareness on digital assets, lounge area for product cross learn & cross-sell and much more.
As the crisis forced all employees to work from home overnight, a pressing need emerged of crafting a strategy to ensure a smooth transition in operations and business continuity. L&D team encompassed measure to drive digital capability building by curating virtual content & ensuring virtual facilitation on the organization’s digital assets. Within a span of 2 months, an organization where learning was 18% digital (FY20), underwent a sensitization journey of digital assets & processes, transitioning to 100% digital. In a subsequent survey, 90% of respondents felt that they were comfortable in connecting with peers, team, & stakeholders using digital platforms.
