IKEA Retail is implementing an AI literacy initiative aimed at training 3,000 employees and 500 leaders by the conclusion of the fiscal year 2024.
The programme encompasses a diverse curriculum tailored to address the specific needs and responsibilities of employees throughout the organisation. Courses such as AI Fundamentals, Responsible AI, Mastering Gen AI, and Algorithmic Training for Ethics have been developed to offer comprehensive insights into AI across various roles within IKEA.
Additionally, IKEA has partnered with a range of AI tools, including the recently launched Hej Copilot in collaboration with Microsoft. This Gen AI tool assists employees with tasks such as testing, image creation, and idea generation, enabling them to allocate their time to more high-value endeavors.
