Hyatt India has announced a collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and EHL Hospitality Business School to offer Vocational Education and Training (VET) Swiss Professional Diploma programme at its properties in Delhi NCR and Lucknow. This strategic partnership merges Hyatt’s industry experience, EHL’s academic excellence, and CII’s networking capabilities, delivering a premier education and training experience for students.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in Hyatt’s dedication to advancing the growth and excellence of India’s hospitality sector. The 18-month programme will be conducted at Hyatt Regency Delhi, Andaz Delhi, Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, and Hyatt Regency Lucknow. Structured into three levels—foundation, intermediate, and advanced—the programme aims to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for success in the hospitality industry. Emphasizing practical training and industry-specific competencies, the programme offers education in three distinct streams: Culinary, Food & Beverage Service, and Rooms. Each certificate level builds upon the previous one, culminating in a Professional Diploma.

Eligible candidates must have completed their higher secondary education with at least 50 per cent marks in English. Participants will gain exclusive online access to a globally renowned Learning Management System, engaging with top-tier educational resources. Their progress will be evaluated through a combination of theoretical assessments and practical skills demonstrations developed through hands-on training.

Hyatt has introduced significant initiatives like RiseHY, a global programme that connects career opportunities in hospitality with young individuals who need them most. As part of RiseHY, Hyatt hotels around the world have pledged to employ 10,000 youth by 2025.
