“If you are not happy at your workplace, you are not doing the best of your ability so far,” says Dr. Nitin Arora, Proctor and Professor, Amity University at BW People Happiest Workplace Event while addressing on ‘Be at your best to be happy at work’.
Unfulfilled desires make us happy, while fulfilled desires make us to ask more. Happiness can be derived out of anything, sometimes a song and others restfulness. But holding the happiness the essence of being happy. Many a times our happiness depends upon the mercy of people, meaning an act of someone can make us happy or even un-happy. While, happiness is an internal process, it comes from within. And the fact that, we are unable to understand ourselves is the reason why it depends upon others.
Explaining this, Arora, mentions, “Happiness is a software inside us, and the four buttons to it are Body, Mind, Emotion and Energy. There is a limit for everything and excess of anything is awful. So, enhance your set point level.” He further adds, “Extending you sensation to others increases your happiness. Guilt, Comparison, Jealousy is the reason for not experiencing happiness at its best. So, learn to get rid of all this, learn to let go off things.”
