Does The Wishlist Of Society Goes In The Cart Of Corporate Goals?

Corporate is the undivided component of society; one cannot function without another. Addressing the subject, Santanu Ghoshal, Vice President of Human Resources, Schaeffler India Ltd. emphasised the role of corporate in upskilling and cultural transformation while Bhavya Misra, Director & Head of HR, Lenovo India talked about how the different companies working on the issues like sustainability and inclusivity with the changes in their packaging and recruitment processes. Mishra said ‘‘India no more standing at backend rather holding on to leadership roles’’.

Picking up the evolution of corporate and societal goals through Arthashastra, Prem Singh, President - Group HR, JK Organisation said that as per millennials, inclusivity and leisure time after work are the desirable attributes a company should have. In addition to this, Paneesh Rao, Advisor, Sustainability, Mindtree Ltd. counted on the needs of society like healthcare, education, and restoration of the resources, Rao said ‘‘We should work on the impact caused by the corporate, individually we can do a little but together we can do a lot’’.

Ganesh S, Global CHRO who is associated with an education company Emeritus, talked about the fact that says 2 million students are getting graduated every year, Ganesh said ‘‘Corporates should make these huge numbers of graduates employable’’.

Experts also discussed world mental day and called flexibility the key to adequate productivity.
