CSB Bank Appoints Pralay Mondal As New CEO And MD
CSB Bank announced Pralay Mondal as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive
officer of the company on Friday, Mondal is going to join his new venture from 15 September 2022 for the next three years. He has been the Deputy MD since 17 February 2022 and was later appointed as the interim MD and CEO of the bank from 1st April 2022.
At CSB, Mondal is in charge of expanding the franchise distribution and also works to make the company used to advanced technology with more focus on digital initiative and automation. He has also worked in building human capital and stronger credit verticals and policies to ensure the independence of credit. Prior to CSB Banks, Mondal was associated with Axis Bank as Head of Retail Banking and has also served HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, Palmolive and Colgate. Mondal has lived his 30 years leading such organisations, he has skills in doorstep banking and direct sales, creating deep geography distribution, and building and scaling up retail businesses.
On this new appointment, CSB Bank said “The Board of Directors of the Bank in its meeting held on Thursday, on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has approved the appointment of Pralay Mondal as Managing Director & CEO of the Bank for a period of three years with effect from September 15, 2022. The Bank will seek approval of the shareholders for the said appointment within the prescribed time period, as per the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI Listing Regulations,”.
