BSNL Employee Union Protests Over Denial Of Wage Revision

In an era where India's leading telecom providers are in the process of implementing 5G services even in two tier cities , Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is stuck in the era of 3G.

Giving a sense of the situation, Sudarshan HV, Circle Secretary of BSNL employees union and convenor of the joint forum told Bangalore Mirror that BSNL is the only telecom operator providing 2G services as the government owned entity can't import the required equipment from the Chinese market unlike the private telecom providers.

This has translated into a massive number of losses in connections and resulted in the denial of wage revision to the employees. The BSNL employee union took to streets in the districts of aba Bangalore to protest on the same last week.
