Air India pilots have requested the intervention of Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Group, to resolve an ongoing dispute over their revamped salary structure.
Moreover, the pilots have claimed that Air India management and the Indian Commercial Pilots' Association are not taking up their concerns with the company.
The pilots are unhappy with the new structure, which they claim is arbitrary. They have requested Tata's intervention as he has a reputation for being a fair and just businessman.
"We have always been committed to Air India's success and have gone above and beyond to ensure that we provide our passengers with the best possible experience, say the pilots in a petition signed to take their case forward.
The morale is low and we are not being treated with respect and dignity by the management, the pilots further say in the said petition.
