Vodafone Germany is planning to launch its 'cost-saving program' which will futrher aim at saving €400m (₹33.65 billion) over the next two years. This initiative by the German branch is set to restructure operational expenses and investments, aiming to enhance performance in the Group's largest market.
Alongside, the telecom giant is also planning to remove or relocate 2,000 jobs as part of a cost-saving program.
The company's source also revealed that Vodafone has already eliminated 900 jobs in Germany over the past two years. The aim behind this initiative focuses on cutting "material, operating, and personnel costs" while directing increased investments towards areas that can enhance the customer experience.
Further, this cost-saving progamm will lead to a 13 per cent decrease in the OpCo's employee count, directing at a headcount of 15,000 employees.
Also, the cost-cutting initiative has been launched by Vodafone Germany CEO Philippe Rogge, who is departing the company on April 1 after resigning on March 15 as part of a broader executive reshuffle within the Group.
