Askari mentioned that it is not very difficult or impossible but there are some ways organisations can work toward getting the right people in place.
Irani Srivastava Roy, Chief Human Resources Officer India Subcontinent, Signify, asserted this fact by stressing, "It is also important to look at how we are making the talent ready for the future requirement”.
It is significant to nurture the talent and develop the lateral talent, the whole dynamic is to have the right people working full time for an organisation, she continued.
Somasundar Konduri, Senior Director and HR at ADP emphasized that it is not always possible to be 100 per cent right in hiring the right people at the right place, the business organisation also needs to be flexible in accepting the new talent.
He underlined flexibility is a must among the business organisation as HR leaders can’t manage it alone.
Irani further commented on talent management and stated, “You can’t develop something that you are not good at”. If you are good, you can nurture it to make it stronger, she added.
She said it’s all about finding the strength of an individual in an organisation and nurturing the strength to give the result.
Highlighting the insecurities surrounding talent acquisition among the employees, Somasundar said, layoffs are not in our control, companies will do what they want to, it’s important for the workforce to set some control, about basic hygiene that includes, self-investment, maturity, research, and upskill.
He stated employees should do a little research about the organisations they desire to join this will help to curb their insecurities.
