Capgemini India Ramps Up Hiring For FY25

Capgemini announces substantial recruitment plans in India for FY25 starting from April 2024. This move underscores the company's confidence in the Indian market and its dedication to harnessing the nation’s abundant skilled workforce.

Against the backdrop of a poised rebound in India’s IT sector following global tech spending caution, Capgemini's strategic hiring plans for FY25 align with prevailing macroeconomic uncertainties. With already 1,75,000 employees, Capgemini reaffirms its commitment to India’s talent pool, aiming to foster growth and resilience in the IT sector.

Capgemini’s hiring strategy for FY25 will encompass a diverse range of roles to meet the evolving demands of the knowledge economy. Although specific positions haven’t been outlined, there's an expected surge in roles requiring skills such as User Experience and User Interface (UI/UX), Data Science, and Cybersecurity.

The company places significant emphasis on upskilling initiatives, particularly in Data, Machine Learning, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and emerging fields like Prompt Engineering. This strategy reflects Capgemini’s commitment to adapting to the dynamics of the knowledge economy, ensuring competitiveness in the IT industry.

By prioritising these areas, Capgemini aims to future-proof its workforce, delivering innovative solutions to clients and sustaining its position as a leading global professional services and IT consulting company.

Regarding job locations in India, while the company is hiring across the country, major focus areas include Bengaluru, Noida, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, among others. Capgemini in India has embraced a Hybrid Work Model, with employees required to work in the office at least two days a week.

Nisheeth Srivastava, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Capgemini in India, recently highlighted that the increase in headcount aligns with industry trends, marking a positive shift after a challenging FY24 across the IT sector. As of February 2024, Capgemini in India boasted a workforce of 1,75,000 employees spread across 13 locations.
