Pearson, World’s leading learning company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Vikas Singh as the new Managing Director in India. Vikas will be spearheading the operations and driving the overall growth and profitability of Pearson in India. Vikas is a seasoned business leader with 25 years of deep management experience and wide business perspectives developed working across locations and sectors. In his new role, he will play a crucial role in making this region emerge as one of the most significant contributors to Pearson’s global growth strategy.
Vikas will take on his new role effective September 2017 and will replace Deepak Mehrotra, the current Managing Director, who is moving on to pursue his interests in other sectors.

Vikas Singh has held various important assignments with leading organisations such as Lakme, Gillette, Hutch and Airtel. Prior to joining Pearson India, Vikas headed the Indian operations for Kimberly Clark as the Managing Director. His cross-industry experience will help relook at Pearson’s India strategy with a new lens.

Vikas holds a graduate degree in Chemistry from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi and a Post-Graduate degree in Management from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
