TVS Supply Chain Solutions has inaugurated a new training Academy with the objective to train 2,000 youth for employment every year. This new training academy was established at Oragadam. The training academy will provide all the essentials and training set for specific skills and talent to the youth so that they will be sharpened in their inner skills and would be able to get a job suiting their talent and interest.
This academy is mainly established for the youth of rural and remote areas who do not have proper facilities and resources to pick a right direction. Regarding this academy, Managing Director of TVS Supply Chain Solution, Ravi Vishwanathan said "We have created an academy to provide focused skill-set training on warehouse management, transportation management and technology-related aspects ensuring classroom and on-the-job training,"
Further, Vishwanathan added "We will be replicating this model in other parts of the country too, starting from the western region in the near future. The aim is to train around 5,000 individuals every year in the next couple of years,"
The company promised to provide accommodation along with food and that ‘without any cost’ "We have created an academy to provide focused skill-set training on warehouse management, transportation management and technology related aspects ensuring classroom and on the job training,"
Such training programs enable youth to get a job around the industry and also setting a benchmark for the industry with these trained youth in best practices. The 29,00 Sq. ft academy area has classroom, warehouse training centre, maintenance room etc.
