Titan To Employ 3,000 Workers In Next 5 Years

The Titan Company announced on Tuesday that it intends to hire over 3,000 people as it strives to become a 1 lakh crore business in the next five years.

Engineering, design, luxury, digital, data analytics, marketing and sales will all be hiring areas. Titan stated that it will continue to hire on campus, and that it expects to contribute 15-18 per cent of total hiring each year.

“We are embarking on an exciting journey towards becoming a ₹1,00,000 crore business in the next 5 years. Our aggressive hiring strategy of adding 3,000 people in the next 5 years reflects our dedication to hire a diverse and talented workforce," said Priya Mathilakath Pillai, head HR-corporate and retail at Titan Company, in a statement.

Currently, metros employ 60 per cent of the Titan Company's workforce, while tier II and III cities employ 40 per cent.  The company plans to increase the percentage of employees in engineering roles by 50 per cent in the next 2-3 years, with a focus on innovation and technology.

The company also intends to expand its global footprint in North America and the Middle East, as well as to increase its international workforce by 10 per cent over the next five years, with a particular focus on the GCC market, where approximately 150-200 new positions will be created in the next 2-3 years.
