Microsoft continues with another round of layoffs this year.
Earlier this year, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the layoff of 10,000 employees which affected less than 5 per cent of the worker base. Over the next few months, the organisation asked several employees to leave.
The US tech giant has now laid off 276 employees across customer service, support, and sales team in a fresh job cut round in Washington State.
According to a media house, Microsoft confirmed the layoffs while stating that the decision is necessary for organisational and workforce adjustments, and the priority is towards strategic growth of customers and partners.
In the previous round of layoffs, other big companies like Amazon, Google, Meta, and Intel had announced layoffs this time last year.
